I’m kind of a “regular” with Garland Summer Musicals, so I’m very excited to be performing for the first time with MBS Productions. I love trying new things and couldn’t pass up the chance to perform the Nutcracker with a twist (or rather, bump & grind)! I’ve been in some great shows, including Will Rogers Follies, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Guys & Dolls, 42nd Street, Can-Can, Hello Dolly, and Show Boat with Garland Summer Musicals; CATS (Skimbleshanks), The King and I and A Chorus Line with Garland Civic Theater; as well as Cabaret (Texas) with Flower Mound Performing Arts Theater. I recently joined Infusion Dance Ensemble, a Christian dance ministry. By day, I’m blessed to be a valued 15-year veteran of TNS Partners, Inc.
Through the years, I’ve seen a lot of Nutcracker performances … some professional and one that my daughter danced in as a Candy Cane. I think I’ve always loved them – the costumes, the action, the incredible and athletic dancing, etc. If I had to choose a favorite Nutcracker, however, it would be “Barbie in the Nutcracker”. If you don’t have kids, you have no idea. It’s really great though!
